How will I know how my loved one is doing?

Each guest at Discovery Place will be assigned a Guide (think ‘case manager’) that will be your primary point of contact.  His Guide will reach out to you throughout his stay with us.

Do you have grant beds?

Discovery Place does not receive any state or federal funding for grant beds. In some cases we are able to assist men with partial scholarships to help offset the tuition price. Call us and we’ll can go through options.

Is this a faith based program?

We meet men where they are at.  Discovery Place is a 12 Step based program.  While there is an emphasis on spirituality, we are not a religious program. Men from all walks of life have found a new beginning at Discovery Place. 

What medication can I have?

If you are prescribed medication by your physician we ask that you bring it in the original bottle.  Controlled substances (Xanax, Adderall, Suboxone, etc.) are not permitted unless approved by Discovery Place in advance of admission.

Can my son see a therapist while in your care?

We recognize the important role that outside help can play in a person’s recovery.  Our experience has shown us that men get the most benefit from outside therapy after their bodies have been free from drugs and alcohol for a period of time.  In most cases we suggest waiting until

While you are a guest at Discovery Place we want you to focus on your recovery.  We ask that you handle any ongoing personal or professional business before you enter our program.  Should a situation arise that requires cell phone access we will make every reasonable effort to accommodate. As
